Our broadband router goes mad

And this is the reason for not having a live internet connection in school.

The router started acting unpredictably two weeks ago, when the wireless transmitter decided to quit on our two Wi-Fi connected laptops. I remember Joseph Carelse's sad face when he said back then, "So, you say I can't print anymore?.."

In the middle of last week Jacqueline Davids and Tracy Goodman (the two secretaries) were cut off from the world-wide-web by a new router prank. The usual server restart procedure would not help to revive the router, which stared blindly at me with its now meaningless LED's.

What is needs now is either a firmware update, or at least a good shake.

I would consider the last honestly, if it were not for the fact that the router is still under warranty. That's why I am going to Worcester tomorrow to pick up a new one.

The challenge will still remain to set it up, but that is another story.
