Introductory overview

Ashton secondary school welcomes every reader and wants to give you a glimpse of our dynamic lifestyle as a diverse group of talented people in the Cape Winelands district.

As a previously disadvantaged school we are very proud of our school. At academic level we deliver highly competitive senior certificate results yearly compared to our neighbouring schools.

The number of matriculants who register at various tertiary institutions also increases yearly, and this year 27 out of 80 registered for undergraduate programmes.

We were able to launch a bursary trust fund, but we were only able to help one of our students to study at the University of Western Cape.

Our aim is to improve the reading and numeracy skills of our community, and we therefore have our classes in the afternoon, and evenings are available for ABET. To develop our pupils we also expose them to various cultural, sports and spiritual activities and events.

If you want to know more about us and our activities you’ll find it on our website. Please feel free to contact us, and maybe you can also help uplift our pupils and communities.
